100th Birthday

This is a cool journal entry from my birthday last year. I hope it inspires some of you to think a little deeper into your purpose in life. Be well, my friends!!

April 3, 2016: My 37th (100th?) Birthday

Today I turned 37 years old, and it was such a great birthday to realize how lucky I am to have all the amazing people I do in my life. It is such a wonder to me the miracles that have put me in this place, and all the uncomprehensible workings of the universe to put this all into being.

I’ve come across a concept from the book The Passion Test by Janet and Chris Attwood in the last couple weeks that had been really turning in my mind. That is the 100th birthday: imagine you are at your 100th birthday party, and all the people in your life that you love and have impacted are there. Then you write in detail what your best friend or spouse would say to honor all you’ve shared and given or the course of your life.

WOW

This is a GREAT writing project, and as I increase my words over the next few months, I’d like to articulate this one much greater than I’ll do here. I said to my friend Sean today that I’m 1/3 of the way to 111 years old, kind of joking but really, I think that there’s no reason why I couldn’t make it that long if I truly have that desire. I want to see what happens in the world, I have a lot to see in this country and others, and I have a lot of exploring of nature outside and on the inner frontier.

I see this time as a turning point, roughly around the time I went to San Diego in January to my birthday, with our physical therapy clinic discussing further ways to increase income, etc. I feel so excited that I’m about to burst. When you take the angle of 100 years, you realize how soooo much of the day to day bullshit of small talk and worries are just a waste of energy. I have so much information on how to channel this energy effectively, but only around now do I feel like I can put a little more focus on what I want more and just release the fears that are not serving me.

On my 100th birthday, I hope to have several family members and close friends that I’ve connected to over my long life speak to my passion for exploration, energy healing, pure excitement about being alive, the service I’d given for thousands if not millions of people in healing and leading empowered lives. I’d love to be mentioned as a great inspiration to get active with their bodies, minds and spirits to live their lives full out, without fear or worry and with the great energy that surrounds and fills us all. I’d love to be known as a great teacher and leader who could give people the tools they need to help themselves heal, and quietly, humbly but very powerfully channel life force energy to produce what most people used to call miracles, but now we know them as the way it’s supposed to be.

I’d like to be seen as an instrumental member in the movement to create much better peace, health, and love around country and planet. When times got tough with a great worldwide depression, Trent was one of the sane voices in the storm, never flummoxed and stayed true to his savior to guide him to the truth. He is one of the most upbeat people you’ll ever meet, and you realize by meeting him that he sees so much of God in you that you can’t help but to be moved into action on your own passions. It is such a great thing that Trent lived out his passions without doubt or fear, and the world is so much better for it. Happy Birthday! April 3, 2079.

What do you want to be remembered for? What do you wish to see on your 100th birthday? What kind of a world do you want to have your children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren live in, and more importantly what can you do TODAY to work toward that vision? It’s an exciting time to be alive my friends. Live like you mean it!!
